At Rose & Heather we have a reputation for being one of Australasia's finest furniture makers. With outlets in New Zealand and Australia, with customers around the world, we continue to win international acclaim for our classic and contemporary furniture made from ancient timber.

The company had a very humble, almost accidental beginning, as a hobby for Tim Heather, the company founder. This early furniture incorporated Tim's passion for boat building and had a very distinctive New Zealand feel, important elements still evident in our furniture today, three generations later.

All products are made in our own workshop to exacting standards using both traditional and modern techniques of cabinetmaking.

Today our furniture is made from pre-historic timber found only in the North Island of New Zealand. Ancient swamp Kauri is thought to be the oldest surviving timber in the world.
